VINTAGE EARLY BAKELITE CONTEX COMPTOMETER, DENMARK, ADDING CALCULATOR

• Beautiful earliest Contex model of the comptometer key driven adding machine. Full working order.
• Model A, S/N 130161, working in sterling currency with farthings.
• Manufactured in Denmark from 1946-1960.
• Black moulded Bakelite case, with ‘CONTEX’ branding on top side.
• Glass covered numeral bar with 9 spaces. Glass has slightly fallen towards the left hand side of this.
• Original ‘LUBRICATION’ metal plate instructions on underside of piece, with issue number ‘96103’.
• Measuring approximately 22cm in length, 21cm wide, and standing 7cm tall (all taken at widest points).
• Piece in generally good condition, although small chip to Bakelite case on underside (please see photos). Missing large key at farthest left hand side, and could do with a good clean, otherwise all working – PLEASE SEE PHOTOS FOR CONDITION.
• A  lovely vintage Contex Bakelite adding machine, would be a great addition to any collection.
